In Wins of the Week #31, I mentioned I felt like I was kind of lazy. Same applies to this week.
I just didn’t feel very focused, but now that my daughter is back in school, I can get back into a regular routine again.
1. Published articles
Last week I published 4 articles for Medium. 3 of those went into publications, and all 4 were also posted on Substack.
I also posted one additional article exclusively for Substack.
2. Mentions
I was mentioned in 6 articles by other writers.
Thank you to these awesome writers! If you’re on Medium, be sure to give them a follow if you haven’t already.
3. Medium earnings
I’m over $500 for August, and I’m very pleased with that!
But you can see because I’ve been slacking off a bit, so have my earnings:
Oops!
Gotta get this back on track!
Here’s the latest update on my “promoted” article. Is this considered “going viral”? I don’t know what the criteria are for a viral piece…
Last week it was at $166, so it earned a little more since then.
I also got a notification that this one has 500 fans.
I just think that’s hilarious because this article is about these “fans” or “clapper” notifications.
The rest of my articles last week? Not good!
I’ll do my best to improve these stats for next week!
4. Medium followers
I made it to 3.7k followers.
I also changed my description a bit. I can’t decide what to put here that makes the most sense.
5. Gumroad sales & downloads
Medium Money = 1 sale ($16.50)
4-Step Affiliate Marketing System = 5 downloads
6. Substack
Here’s what the stats looked like last week:
And here’s what it looks like as of today:
I need to be more consistent on Substack! I also keep thinking about what I want to do with it. I want to create better, helpful content that’s different from Medium.
I’m tasking my subconscious to help me come up with something…
7. Affiliate sales/Benable
Affiliate sales are still fairly slow, but I did make 2 small sales last week. I’ll take what I can get!
I also made 2 more sales with Benable. I’m up to $27 there.
And woah! I just looked at my affiliate sales for Amazon, and they had a nice jump:
I’m not exactly rolling in the dough, but it’s a start!
What’s next?
My biggest priority this week is working on some of my new books & ebooks:
In fact, this is where I want to focus the majority of my efforts going forward. This is what I feel the most excited about. Now I just need to focus so I can get it done!
As I mentioned, I would love to do something more with Substack. I just don’t know what yet…
And I also still feel like Benable has so much more potential. My mind is constantly thinking about how to use it in a better way. I’m happy to see some sales on Amazon, and I would love to boost that even more!
On a personal note…
My husband, daughter, and I went to our 3rd (out of 5) summer concert on Saturday at Hershey Park. We saw the band Creed.
My husband and I saw them many, many (25ish?) years ago in Orlando, FL. I forgot how awesome they are! It was fantastic!!
And…
My daughter started her Senior Year today!
How did your week go? Did you have some good wins? Feel free to leave them in the comments so we can celebrate together!
Did you know I also share short lists of links to everything I learn about making money online with simple mini assets in this newsletter? → intellectualists.com
Thanks for sharing, I always love reading those kinds of financial reports. I had a pretty good month on Medium too 😊
Awwwwwwww. Congratulations on your daughter starting her senior year. I’m sure it’s bittersweet 🥹.
Next month, my niece begins her Senior year and my baby girl just began her Senior year in college. Ugghhhhh, she’ll be 19 on Sunday. Go Mama.
My wins of the week is getting over 70 views on an article. Eeekkkkk I’m ecstatic. It doesn’t seem like much, but to go from 20 to 70 is a big lie jump. My other win is I just made my first $0.01 on Medium after starting over with them and becoming a partner a whopping 12 days ago. I’m intrigued. 😌
