I have a friend like that as well, the victim mentality, being around that kind of behaviour can be incredibly draining. Such a difficult mentality to shift! And we can all get caught up in it sometimes.

Oh yes, I can get like that too sometimes. (It’s normal for us humans!) But staying in that mindset constantly is a terrible way to live.

I love this! Focus drives everything. What's wrong is always available. So is what's right! The one good thing about being around negative energy is that it reminds me to lean into good boundaries and focus on who I want to be. Thanks, Christina!

Great tips. One of the best books I’ve ever read on perspective is The Noticer series by Andy Andrews. Favorite quote: “Perspective is the only thing that can change the outcome without changing any of the facts.”

Sounds like another book I need to look into. (I'm addicted to books! lol) Thanks for letting me know about that one. Love the quote!

Thanks for the inspiring post. 🙏 Yes, it's challenging but doable. But the trouble brews, if, people close to you or around you, would start having a negative mindset and they vent upon us ...very hard to explain!

Yup, that's tough! That's why I left a job because of it. It's very hard for me to be around that energy because I fully take it in.

I remember another version of this:

I've never heard that version, but it's also good.

Great post Christina. It’s definitely one of the mindsets I’ve tried to start adapting more, and finding the joy in everything where able.

It's true, Christina. We always have a choice. I have to keep reminding myself from time to time.
